Oprah Winfrey, celebrated TV icon and media mogul, has unveiled her latest venture: a weekly podcast titled The Oprah Podcast. The series, produced in collaboration with Starbucks, combines inspiring conversations with thought leaders, cultural changemakers, and authors from her renowned Oprah’s Book Club.
Winfrey’s new podcast debuted on December 3, kicking off with a discussion featuring Claire Keegan, author of Small Things Like These. Reflecting on the honor, Keegan said, “To know that Oprah Winfrey took pleasure in reading my book is the most exquisite compliment, which will last my lifetime.” She added, “May her wonderful book club encourage people into reading for years and years to come.”
A Celebration of Books and Conversations
Each month, The Oprah Podcast will spotlight an Oprah’s Book Club author, alongside other weekly episodes featuring global newsmakers, visionaries, and best-selling authors. “Connecting with people about what matters to us in this moment, so we can all continue to reach our highest, truest potential is what I’m most interested in offering at this time in my life,” Winfrey shared in a statement.
The partnership with Starbucks adds a unique element to the series, as episodes are filmed in Starbucks locations, beginning with the Reserve Empire State Building store in New York City. Each book selection will feature an official Starbucks beverage pairing, with the first being the Starbucks Christmas Blend. Winfrey described the collaboration as “the perfect opportunity to bring together readers around things we both love: books, coffee, and conversation.”
Oprah Winfrey Has Exciting Guests Ahead
The podcast’s December lineup includes a mix of inspiring voices. On December 10, Winfrey will host motivational speaker Mel Robbins, followed by bestselling author Daniel Pink on December 17. Culinary icon Ina Garten will appear on December 24, with U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy closing out the year on December 31. Episodes will air every Tuesday, with future guests announced monthly.
