Queen Latifah To Host 2024 Kennedy Center Honors

Queen Latifah is going back to the Kennedy Center Honors but this time as the host. 

Latifah, who was honored at the 2023 Kennedy Center Honors, will host this year’s award ceremony for the first time. The show will be taped on December 8th and will air on CBS on Dec. 22. 

The actress joins a short list of other notable names who have hosted the event such as David Letterman, Gloria Estefan, and LL Cool J. This year’s honorees are singer/ songwriter Bonnie Raitt, American Rock Band the Grateful Dead, director and filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, and composer Arturo Sandoval.  The Apollo Theater will also be honored as an iconic American Institution. 

The honors will be produced by Done+Dusted for a third year along with ROK Productions. It is also executive produced by Elizabeth Kelly, Jack Sussman, and David Jimmy. Alex Rudzinski will direct it. 

Queen Latifah was honored alongside Barry Gibb, Dionne Warwick, Billy Crystal, and Renée Fleming. Congratulations to her and all of this year’s honorees.
