Congratulations are in order for Raven Goodwin and Wiley Battle, who are expecting their second child together. The actress, known for her standout roles in Being Mary Jane and Glee, shared the news on her birthday (June 24th).
Goodwin made the celebratory post via Instagram in a maternity photoshoot. “32! Thank you, God! I’m waiting for my gift to arrive! Baby #2, Happy Birthday to me!!!!!! Any day now.” In the shoot, the actress rocked a sheer black dress and gold earrings.
The couple welcomed their first child back in April 2020. Riley Rosa Bell Battle was described as “so stunning” by Goodwin on the week of her birth. Goodwin and Battle tied the knot the following year in a private ceremony in Santori, Greece.
Goodwin and Battle met at a legendary SpelHouse tailgate event in 2016. Goodwin was there accompanying her friend Maura Chanz, a fellow actress who primarily serves as a creative producer and consultant. While there, she locked eyes with Battle and from there the rest was history.
Most recently Goodwin starred alongside Amber Riley and K. Michelle in Lifetime’s Single Black Female 2. The actress also made an appearance on Abbott Elementary, guest starring as a passionate mother.
