R&B singer and songwriter Dave Hollister will be hitting the stage in May and June. The eight stop tour kicks off in Chicago on Thursday, May 4 and concludes in Boston on June 24.
Hollister entered the music scene as a member of R&B group Blackstreet. The group comprised of members Teddy Riley, Dave Hollister, Sherman Tisdale and Rodney Poe. Their debut album, Blackstreet, featured the singles “Booti Call”, “Before I Let You Go” and “Joy.” Hollister eventually left to start his solo career as a singer, songwriter and producer.
Hollister released eight studio albums but is best known for his sophomore project, Chicago ’85… The Movie. Released in 2000, the gold -certified project produced two singles “One Woman Man” and “Take Care of Home.” R&B singer and rapper Joey Bada$$ sampled “One Woman Man” in his song “Survivor’s Guilt.”
The May tour stops include Chicago (5/4-5/5), St.Louis (5/6) , Philadelphia (5/12), NYC (5/13) and Houston (5/27). Then touches down in Columbus, Ohio (6/3), Atlanta (6/22), and finally concludes in Boston (6/24).
