Rick Ross, the self-proclaimed “Biggest Bawse,” finds himself in hot water with the Georgia Department of Revenue. According to reports, the state alleges the rapper owes $64,995.21 in unpaid taxes for 2021, including interest, penalties, and collection fees.

The debt initially stemmed from a $29,043 tax bill, but it ballooned due to $10,576 in interest, $19,516.80 in penalties, and $5,808 in collection costs. Legal filings describe the situation as “delinquent tax liabilities.”

Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, has yet to comment publicly on the issue.

Lavish Lifestyle and Real Estate Ventures

Ross is no stranger to substantial financial commitments. He owns the 109-room Fayetteville, Georgia mansion formerly belonging to boxing legend Evander Holyfield. Renamed the Promise Land estate, it has become synonymous with Ross’ entrepreneurial image.

In 2023, the Maybach Music Group mogul expanded his real estate portfolio by purchasing Meek Mill’s Atlanta mansion for over $4 million in cash. His realtor praised the deal, highlighting Ross’ growing influence in the luxury housing market.

Last year, Ross expressed interest in buying Cardi B’s Atlanta property after she announced she no longer wanted the home. “Asking price?” Ross asked on Instagram, fueling speculation about his plans to add another high-profile property to his collection.

Tax Trouble Amid Success

Despite his success in music and business, this is not Ross’ first financial dispute. The tax controversy adds to a list of challenges for the rapper, who remains busy with upcoming projects.

Ross is set to perform at a star-studded event celebrating the release of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory from prison. The concert, featuring artists like Lil Baby, Kodak Black, and 21 Savage, promises to be a major event in Miami next month.

While his real estate ventures and concert bookings continue to thrive, the Georgia tax issue serves as a reminder of the complications that can arise, even for someone as accomplished as Ross.

With the rapper’s financial acumen and history of high-profile deals, fans and critics alike are watching closely to see how he resolves this tax dispute.
