Big news to celebrate!
Ricky Bell of New Edition and his wife, Amy, are excited to announce they’re expecting their first child after 20 years of marriage.
Ricky, 57, took to Instagram to share the joyful news with a video, captioning it, “Reservation for 3 🎞️🤍.” Amy, 42, also shared the announcement on her Instagram, writing, “Past, present, and the future.”
Ricky’s bandmate, Ronnie DeVoe of New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe, shared his excitement for the couple. “I’m absolutely overwhelmed with joy knowing you and Ricky will be amazing parents!” he commented on Amy’s post. “Thank you for letting the cat out of the bag because I was about to burst trying to keep it a secret. Love y’all to life…!”
Back in a 2018 interview with VladTV, the couple had expressed their desire to grow their family. “This guy is on tour year-round,” Amy said when asked why they hadn’t become parents yet. Ricky added, “And it just hasn’t happened for whatever reason, but we’re actually going to plan it at the end of this tour.”
