Rihanna claps back at people who had an issue with her joke about voting

The singer went on social media in an attempt to get others to vote and posted a video with the caption that read, “POV: me trying to sneak into the polls with my son’s passport.” Although she wished that she could partake in this year’s presidential election, she also added, “When protecting p******s and firing p*****s can happen all in one vote #votecauseicant.”

Rihanna is still a citizen of Barbados, but her two sons are US citizens. After the video was posted, some people did not appreciate her joke. One person wrote, “That attitude is why we want to make America great again. You want to cheat to win. So disappointing.”

Rihanna responded with, “lol! When you stop burning ballot boxes come check me.” Another Instagram user said, “Illegal voting is a crime. Maybe she should be arrested for trying,” the singer responded, “Shut Up Karen.”

She would continue to respond to the comments but she hasn’t publicly shown her support for Vice President Kamala Harris although she has been vocal about being anti-Donald Trump.
