Stephen Curry is celebrating his 16th NBA season with a tribute that blends legacy, family, and craftsmanship. On Monday, December 16, Curry’s bourbon brand, Gentleman’s Cut, unveiled a limited-edition Player Exclusive: Father and Son Edition, a 16-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon priced at $950.
The milestone is particularly meaningful for the Golden State Warriors star, as his father, Dell Curry, also played 16 seasons in the NBA. “My pops set – and raised – the bar for us growing up,” Stephen said in a statement. “This season feels that much more special for our family.”
To commemorate this achievement, Curry and Gentleman’s Cut bottled a bourbon that honors Dell’s influence both on and off the court. “Growing up, my father was an amazing role model to me,” Stephen shared. “He showed me what it means to be a hard worker and give it your all. I wanted to bottle this amazing feeling and share it with the world.”
Stephen Curry Honoring Legacy
The Player Exclusive: Father and Son Edition is a meticulously crafted 100-proof bourbon. Distilled in 2008, its flavor profile highlights rich notes of dried cherries, caramelized sweetness, smoky undertones, and fine tobacco.
Dell Curry praised his son’s vision and success. “Gentleman’s Cut has always been at the forefront of celebratory moments for Stephen and our family,” Dell said. “To be able to release a limited-edition bourbon inspired by our time in the NBA is a blessing.” He added, “I’m so proud of everything he has accomplished, and this bottle is a testament to that.”
Curry co-founded Gentleman’s Cut in 2023 alongside Napa Valley vintner John Schwartz. The brand’s typical bottles retail for $80 or more, but this exclusive bourbon marks a new pinnacle in their offerings. The special edition is available through select retailers and the Gentleman’s Cut mailing list.
The release celebrates both father and son’s remarkable careers. Stephen has spent his 16 years with the Warriors, while Dell played across five NBA teams, most notably the Charlotte Hornets.
“Just like so many others, I consider my father to be one of the greatest,” Stephen said. “This bottle honors his legacy and the example he set for me.”
