Tamar Braxton Has Over $2 Million Tax Liens From The IRS

Tamar Braxton seems to be in trouble with the IRS. 

According to reports, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filed its first lien against the singer on July 13, 2023. It stated that Braxton, 47, failed to pay a total of $2,200,894.14 for several tax years. Her debt started back in 2015, she reportedly owes, $682,638.95. She owes $638,330.13 for 2016, $535,188.16 for 2017, $286,441.16 for 2020, and $58,295.74 for 2021. 

The address for the lien was listed for a four-bedroom, three-bedroom, 3,199 square-foot home that she purchased in Atlanta, Georgia in 2022 for $1.3 million. On January 5, 2024, a second lien was filed against Tamar Braxton for failing to pay $213,781 for her 2022 taxes. 

The official amount that the “All The Way Home,” singer owes on the liens is $2,414,675.72. Reports also state that the IRS has not filed a release of the liens, which makes the debt outstanding. Braxton has not released a statement about the liens as of yet.
