Comedian Tracy Morgan, 56, made a spirited return to Madison Square Garden (MSG) on April 8, attending the New York Knicks’ game against the Boston Celtics. This appearance came three weeks after an incident during a Knicks-Miami Heat game where Morgan became ill courtside, leading to his departure in a wheelchair.

Morgan, a devoted Knicks fan, was seen in high spirits, seated alongside actor Ben Stiller. He engaged with fans, signaling his enthusiasm and support for the team. Despite the Knicks’ narrow 119-117 overtime loss to the Celtics, Morgan’s presence was a highlight of the evening.

Tracy Morgan Reflecting on the Previous Incident

The earlier health scare occurred on March 17, when Morgan vomited during the third quarter of the Knicks-Heat game, causing a delay as first responders attended to him and cleaned the area. He was subsequently taken off the court in a wheelchair and hospitalized. Morgan later attributed the incident to food poisoning, expressing gratitude towards the MSG staff for their prompt assistance.

“Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning,” Morgan shared on Instagram from his hospital bed. He humorously added, “More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs.”

Warm Reception and Star-Studded Night

Upon his return, Morgan received a warm welcome from fans and players alike. Knicks guard Josh Hart greeted him, and the comedian’s courtside presence was part of a star-studded evening that included appearances by Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, CC Sabathia, Michael Strahan, and Wayne Gretzky. Additionally, former Knick Carmelo Anthony was honored for his recent election into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

Morgan’s resilience and humor continue to endear him to fans, and his return to MSG underscores his enduring support for the Knicks.
