The actor and singer announced via Instagram the release of his upcoming album, Beautiful Pain, along with the shocking revelation that his relationship with Zelie Timothy had come to an end due to the content of the album.
In a post, Tyrese shared a trailer for the album and disclosed the reason behind his split with Timothy, citing her demand for him to cancel the album due to its numerous references to his ex-wife, Samantha Lee.
“Me and Zelie just broke up over some dumb sh*t,” he wrote in the caption. “She demanded that I cancel my ALBUM because there’s too many songs about my ex on there.. f**k does that even mean?”
This breakup sheds light on the tumultuous aftermath of Tyrese’s divorce from Lee, which was described by Lee as “messy and ugly.” Tyrese’s video apology to Katt Williams, 50 Cent, and Kanye West, whom he previously had high-profile exchanges with, indicates a sense of regret for past actions and an attempt to reconcile with those he may have offended.

In a lengthy caption accompanying the video, Tyrese expressed admiration for the unity and entrepreneurial spirit he perceived within the Latin community, contrasting it with what he viewed as lacking within Black culture.
He went on to praise the family structures of other communities, such as the Jewish and Muslim communities, suggesting that Black families could learn from their example. These remarks sparked backlash from followers, with many condemning Tyrese for disparaging his own community, particularly during Black History Month.
While Tyrese’s musings on family dynamics may have stemmed from genuine observations, they only added to the controversies surrounding him, further complicating his already tumultuous public image.
