In a fiery Instagram video, hip-hop veteran Uncle Luke did not hold back on his views about Latinos who supported Donald Trump in the 2024 election. Known for his blunt style, Uncle Luke criticized what he views as a lack of solidarity among communities of color, highlighting what he perceives as a divide between Black and Latino Americans.

“All y’all who didn’t vote for Kamala, y’all stupid ass gon’ get deported,” the rapper said, pointing to Trump’s history of anti-immigration policies. Uncle Luke, a longtime supporter of Kamala Harris, conveyed frustration over what he feels is a betrayal by some in the Latino community, adding, “Y’all having marches and sh*t already. We are not going out there to march. Black people are not going to march for you.”

For many Black Americans, the 2024 election was a defining moment in inter-community relationships. Uncle Luke’s comments reflect growing tensions around solidarity within the broader community of people of color. He voiced his disappointment about the Latino vote, saying, “The line got drawn last Tuesday. We know where we stand with all y’all. White people know where they stand with white women. Black people know where they stand with Hispanics. We thought y’all were our friends.”

Recent exit polls reported a significant 12% increase in Trump’s Latino support since 2020, with 46% of Latinos reportedly voting for him. What Uncle Luke said suggests a broader feeling among some Black Americans that this outcome could mean distancing themselves from Latino causes. “It’s no more such thing as Black and brown people. It’s Black,” he declared, making clear that some Black leaders may rethink their alliances moving forward.

While Uncle Luke aired his disappointment, other hip-hop figures took a different stance on the election outcome. Rapper Sauce Walka stated that the presidency is a “man’s job” and encouraged people to focus on their own success. 50 Cent, known for his pragmatic views, congratulated Trump on social media, writing, “I don’t care how the fight goes, I’m leaving with the winner sh*t.”
