Usher is making waves in the entertainment and fashion world as he collaborates with Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS for a groundbreaking campaign.
The partnership, which includes an exclusive album release and bonus track, adds a unique twist to Usher’s return to the spotlight in his heartthrob/sex symbol era.
Usher expressed his humility and excitement about the collaboration.
“When I was asked to partner with SKIMS Mens, I was so humbled,” he said in a statement. “Kim’s been a longtime friend of mine who’s always been so supportive of my work, so the opportunity to collaborate together on a campaign that supports both of our highly anticipated launches made total sense.”
The collaboration goes beyond fashion, as Usher and SKIMS join forces to release an alternative album cover and a bonus track named Naked from Usher’s upcoming album, Coming Home. This digital download will exclusively be available for one week on SKIMS’ official website.
In a video segment of the campaign, Usher highlighted the intimate connection he shares with his audience during performances and teased that his new LP is “all about romance,” exploring themes of love, happiness, and joy.
The SKIMS Mens campaign showcases Usher modeling pieces from the Stretch and Cotton collection, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to comfort and self-expression. Usher expressed his endorsement of SKIMS, stating,
“With the way that I move, being this comfortable in what you wear is essential. SKIMS is about embracing who you are, inside and out, and feeling empowered to express yourself authentically,” he expressed in his endorsment of the brand.
As anticipation builds, the SKIMS Mens new drop is set to release on February 12 at 9 a.m. PT, featuring four new colorways: Stone, Midnight Blue, Military, and Oxblood.
To celebrate both the SKIMS and Usher’s drops, a special project is set for February 9 at midnight ET. An exclusive digital download version of Usher’s new album, “Coming Home,” with an alternative cover and a bonus track, “Naked,” will be available on Skims.com for one week only.
Usher’s album, featuring collaborations with artists like Burna Boy, H.E.R., Latto, and Jungkook, adds another layer of excitement to his Super Bowl performance, which promises to be a celebration of R&B music and Black artists of the past. As Usher prepares to take the stage, he carries with him the support of his fans and a dedication to honoring those who paved the way for his success.
