ABOUT MISS I.D.
Brooklyn born Ifé (Ee-Fay) aka “Miss I.D.” is a lifetime music lover, radio veteran, and DJ who got her start as an intern at New York’s progressive radio station WBAI 99.5FM in 1999, working her way to hosting and/or DJ’ing for 107.5 WBLS (NYC), HOT97 (NYC), 1190 AM WLIB(NYC), STAR 99.1(NJ), 100.3 WRNB (PA) HOT 106(FL) and DJ for nationally syndicated show Cafe Mocha.
Miss I.D. was the Creator and Executive Producer the yearly 24 hour radio marathon called The Hip Hop TakeOver, or HHTO, creating a ground breaking evolution on WBAI. The HHTO brought together radio host, DJ’s, rappers, emcees, Hip Hop historians, authors, and politicians who had a common goal of teaching the origins of Hip Hop. Hip Hop pioneers, legends, icons, and game changers were honored . In 2010, the HHTO was voted as one of the “Top Five Best Things in Hip Hop in New York” by Birth Place Magazine, and mentioned in The Source magazine and NY Daily News. Miss I.D. also received a citation from The City of New York in 2019 for her work in Hip Hop and NYC radio. Miss I.D. also does voice overs. Her work has been heard on Suave, Haier Air Conditioners, several public service announcements, Melanie Fiona album release radio commercial, Alicia Keys Madison Square Garden ticket promo, India.Arie album release (tv/radio), Trey Songz album release, Babyface & Toni Braxton album release (tv/radio), and many others.
