Beyoncé surprised fans yet again by gracing the cover of ESSENCE for its March/April 2024 issue, marking her first appearance on the magazine’s cover since 2011.

The announcement, made on February 14th, came alongside the release of the official cover shot featuring the iconic singer with her honey blonde tresses elegantly wrapped around her neck.

The cover story delves into the legacy of Black hair and Beyoncé’s latest venture, just days before the launch of her new hair care line, CÉCRED. The line, described as the intersection between science and ritual, aims to be inclusive for all genders and hair textures, embodying Beyoncé’s long-held dream of creating a hair care line. Inspired by her experiences working in her mother Tina’s beauty salon, Beyoncé’s vision for CÉCRED is deeply rooted in the wisdom and traditions surrounding hair care.

In a special message to her fans, Beyoncé expressed her pride in sharing CÉCRED, inviting them to join a community where they can celebrate their hair journeys and protect what is sacred. The announcement of CÉCRED follows Beyoncé’s tease of the venture in May 2023, shortly after the commencement of her RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR.

Alongside her entrepreneurial endeavors, Beyoncé continues to captivate audiences with her music. She recently announced the forthcoming release of RENAISSANCE ACT II, set to debut on March 29th. The album, a sequel to 2022’s RENAISSANCE, promises a continuation of Beyoncé’s exploration of various genres and themes. With singles like “16 CARRIAGES” and “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM,” which sees her return to the country genre, Beyoncé showcases her versatility as an artist.

RENAISSANCE ACT II follows the success of its predecessor, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured collaborations with acclaimed artists such as BEAM, Tems, Mike Dean, and more. With hits like “BREAK MY SOUL” and “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM,” Beyoncé’s previous album solidified her position as a chart-topping force in the music industry.

As fans eagerly anticipate the release of both RENAISSANCE ACT II and CÉCRED, Beyoncé’s presence on the cover of ESSENCE serves as a reminder of her enduring influence and groundbreaking contributions to music, beauty, and culture.
