Katt Williams has aired out many of his fellow comedians during his recent interview with Shannon Sharpe.
During his interview, Williams accused Cedric of stealing his joke from 1998 and using it as his own in “The Original Kings of Comedy,” two years later. He also revealed that although he was upset, he let it slide because Cedric and Steve apologized. Since bringing up the incident, Cedric responded in the comments under one of the videos.
“Revisionist History, regardless of whatever Katt’s opinion. My career can’t be reduced to one Katt Williams claims as his. I been in over 40 movies, and my specials and brand speak volumes for I am. The people I have put on including ‘Katt in the Hat.” At the Gibson Amphitheater,” he wrote.
He added, “And all that tough talk is corny af, I’m a grown a** man. And none of that s**t gonna go like you think. You do you and I got this over here.”
This isn’t the first time that the comedian and actor addressed this issue. Back in 2021, he went on Instagram to say that he didn’t know what Katt Williams was talking about and that the joke was over 30 years old. He went on to say that he has also had his jokes taken from him but was sure that the joke that Williams was talking about was his own and that he didn’t steal it.
Other comedians such as Michael Blackson and Kevin Hart also responded to Katt Williams after they were mentioned in his interview. See their responses below.
