Actress, singer and beauty queen Vanessa Williams posted behind-the-scenes photos of her Photobook Magazine photoshoot to showcase her glamorous looks but instead critics focused on her seemingly thin appearance.
In an instagram post, the 60-year old model shared photos of herself wearing leopard printed garments with photographer Mike Ruiz.
However, some people decided to bring attention to Williams’ supposedly frail figure. They even went to lengths to accuse Williams of using the diabetes drug Ozempic, which many people are taking to achieve weight loss.
“Ozempic is everywhere! Even Vanessa Williams,” they wrote.
Fans of Williams reminded critics of the late Black Panther actor who notably had a thin appearance before he lost his battle with colon cancer. “So I see we learned nothing from Chadwick Boseman, huh?”
Another comment echoed the same sentiments. “Y’all have to stop speculating on why people have lost weight. Plenty of things can be the catalyst behind weight loss and some of them (i.e. illness) can be very serious. I hope everyone is not suffering an unknown illness but we can’t be sure and it’s none of our business,” an X user wrote.
Williams isn’t the only celebrity who has fallen victim to public scrutiny for her seemingly drastic weight loss. A few other stars whose smaller figures made headlines include Eva Marcille, Anthony Anderson, and rapper Meek Mill.
