Last night Jazmine Sullivan came to Brooklyn and completely took it over and she wasn’t alone!
East London native Tiana Major9 opened the show and had the audience memorized with her angelic voice. Tiana performed a series of songs from both of her EPs including “On God” and “Deep Space.” She then went on to perform her Grammy-nominated single from the Queen and Slim soundtrack called “Collide” featuring EARTHGANG.
Tiana went on to speak on the love that she felt from the crowd. “It has been amazing being here in New York. The love and energy were just as I anticipated and I can’t wait to come back.”
Shortly after Tiana Major9’s amazing performance, Jazmine Sullivan took the stage and graced the Brooklyn crowd with her presence and powerful voice. She opened the show with the “Bodies (Intro)” from her recent album Heaux Tales and proceeded to take fans on a musical journey.
The Grammy-nominated singer performed hits such as “Bust Your Windows”, “Put it Down”, “Lost One”, “On It” featuring Ari Lennox, and so many more.
During one part of the show, Sullivan gets emotional when thanking the crowd for sticking by her side when she was fighting COVID. It was reported that she had to cancel some of her other shows during the leg of this tour after contracting the virus.
She admitted that she wasn’t at one hundred percent but needed to show up and perform in Brooklyn. Sullivan would close out the show with her performance of “Pick Up Your Feelings.”
Both Tiana Major9 and Jazmine Sullivan’s albums are streaming on all platforms right now.
