TMZ caught up with comedian Katt Williams roaming the streets of Los Angeles with his new Emmy after last night’s 70th annual primetime awards show.
The comedic actor took home a gold-plated statue in recognition of his guest role as Willy in Donald Glover’s FX series, Atlanta, but his name isn’t ringing because of his win.
Williams recently sat down with Wanda Smith from V-103’s Frank & Wanda in the Morning. The two went back and forth exchanging jokes with one another, but as the dialogue went on, it became clear things were getting personal. Then, the comedian went on take aim at other female comics like Tiffany Haddish.
When TMZ asked what was going on with the gun situation between himself and Wanda Smith’s husband, Williams said, “What gun?”
As far as his comments on Tiffany Haddish, he said, “I’m sorry that I mentioned Tiffany’s name.”
He continued, saying, “I was in conversation with a non-female comedian about female comedians, and that was a no-no. So I’ve been chastised by Wanda Sykes and others to see the error of my ways.”
TMZ ran into Haddish shortly after their conversation with Williams. The outlet asked if she and Katt had officially squashed their beef. Tiffany simply responded, “There never was a problem,” and asked security to close the door of her car.
