Keke Palmer is giving more details about her abusive relationship with ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson.
In a new report, the actress claimed that Jackson would call her insulting names and tried to hit her with his car. Palmer was recently granted a temporary restraining order against him and granted sole custody of their 8-month-old son, Leodis.
She claimed that Jackson had been abusive towards her during their 2 year relationship. She said that things became more violent when the relationship officially ended.
Palmer said that the name calling came from him being jealous and that he would become super aggressive when he believed that she would be flirting with someone else or if he felt disrespected. In the document she wrote, “If we were at a party or event, and I spoke with one person too long or looked at someone a ‘certain way,’ he would storm off in a rage, telling me I was a ‘s***’ and a ‘w****’, accuse me of cheating on him, and that I did not love him.”
She continued, “Darius had a way of gaslighting me to make me feel like I was doing something wrong even though I wasn’t.” Keke Palmer also states that after she broke-up with him, Jackson arrived unannounced at her home and demanded that he take their son to a football game. After she told him no, he became violent, grabbing her by the neck and pushing her over the couch.
The court document recounts her version of the incident, “I tried to remain calm, but as I was again asking him to leave, he stood up from the chair, walked towards me, and made sure there was no furniture between us. He was yelling, leaning into me, getting into my face. At that point, he lunged at me, grabbing at my neck and face, knocked me backwards over the couch, and stole my phone out of my hands, and then ran out of the house.”
The 30-year-old has not spoken out about the ongoing situation and it has been reported that Jackson denied all claims and allegations of abuse.
