Singer Kelly Rowland gives credit to late rapper Nipsey Hussle for helping her improve her parenting skills.
During a recent interview, Rowland explained how watching Hussle interact with his children helped her. “I wanted my boys to have integrity and I got that from Nipsey Hussle. It’s amazing to me that he would talk to his kids about making the right decision even when no one is watching. That was everything.”
She continued, “Nobody knows how much, how hard you work but you do it because you love it. I want them to be the kind of men who are proud of themselves. That’s really important to me- being good decision-makers.”
Nipsey Hussle was the father of two children, Emani, 14 and Kross, 6, who in 2019 was fatally shot outside of his clothing store at the age of 33. Hussle’s killer, Eric Holder was sentenced to 60 years to life in prison after he was found guilty of the shooting earlier this year.
Nipsey Hussle’s influence will continue to live on through Rowland on how she parents her children.
